Glazes,  also known as  patinas, are translucent, juxtaposed, thin layers of paint, using a variety of tools and techniques. This section features wall glazing applications such as ragging, sponging, striae, washes and striping. We like to call them "seamless" in that we treat these as clean, subtle, overall wall coverings, as opposed to the more "distressed," and busier glazing techniques featured in the Old World Finishes section.
