VERASU DECOR

~ Doors & Cabinets ~

Doors lend themselves to fancy finishes which can highlight the decor in just about any room. In this TV den, the door trim was treated as a "Rouge Royal" marble base type glaze, which made for a very nice finish. The main rails on the doors were treated with crumpled plastic glazing.

Below, the frame and trim were treated in a "stippled" faux stone finish, the inside of the panels in a brushed striae, and the remaining door rails in a sponged finish.

Whereas paneled and classically framed doors are most suitable for fancy finishes, plain doors can also be faux finished with great results. These elevator doors were "wood grained" in a paneled configuration, matching our faux mahogany  on the other paneled doors in elevator hall. Door frames also painted with metallic gold paint inlays.

Below, closet doors have been faux finished to simulate paneling. The walls were treated with layers of glaze wash.

Doors in this bedroom/office entryway were painted to match bookshelves.

In this bedroom entryway doors were "faux paneled" in a sponging multi layer finish

Closet doors below have been finished in a faux wood grain.
