~ Striae & Dragging ~
The striae finish or "dragging" is accomplished by vertically dragging a wide long bristle brush . Although quite rigorous it can also be versatile. In this red family room different dragging tools are used to obtain a "broken" or distressed look. All the trim has been done in a wood grain finish.
As with all our finishes, we take special care in keeping a clean look 0n our moldings and corners.
In this child's bedroom a more traditional dragging technique is used. Ceiling done in a "faux" sky.
The broken or distressed striae finish is particularly suitable for classical paneling as in in this country home master bedroom.
The striae finish is well suited for cabinets and paneled doors.
Paneled door treated in a broken straie finish, with sponging inside of panels. Ragging is the finish on the walls.
